“The Manhattan Beach Santa Float, along with Santa and the Elves, will be in the neighborhoods of Manhattan Beach starting the evening of Monday, November 28, 2016. The neighborhood routes generally start at 4:45 pm this year (note, Area 9 on December 8 starts at 5:30 pm). Note also that the Santa float will be stationary from 4:45 pm to 5:30 pm in the Manhattan Village neighborhood in front of the recreation center, before moving on to the remainder of the Area 11 route. The Santa float will tour a different neighborhood for fourteen nights (excluding weekends), concluding on December 15, 2016.
The route map and calendar can be seen here: www.manhattanbeachsantafloat.com/routes/
You can see where the float is in real time by viewing the LIVE SANTA TRACKER at www.manhattanbeachsantafloat.com/santa-tracker/
We will not have any rain make-ups this year, so if you miss us due to weather, please use the Santa tracker to find us on a neighboring route.
There is no charge to visit the Santa float on its nightly routes. The Santa float is managed by the Manhattan Beach chapter of Kiwanis International. Special thanks to Kinecta Federal Credit Union which provides the truck and driver that pulls the sleigh, the Manhattan Beach Police Department and Volunteer Police Auxiliary which keeps Santa safe, and to the many local organizations who staff the float on its routes!!!”
